Aloft Cessna Business Park’s Nook has been one of my all time favorite places to eat. Whether it’s a team lunch, or a quiet dinner, Chef Sandeep Kumar at Nook, Aloft CBP will definitely make even the most simple dish a work of art. So the news of him winning the 2016 Chef of the Year in the Hotelier Awards was not surprising – a well deserved victory for a chef of his caliber. And almost like an encore to some great food we tasted last year, the South American Food Festival at Aloft is one of the best ever.
We visited on the 2nd day of the festival, and the place was buzzing with people – corporate and groups that came in to experience this gala feast.
While the spread has a lot of South American and Mexican options, there is also Indian and Asian food, a healthy salad bar, and some salad counters as well. This brings a balance of vegetarian options into the buffet, while the South American food has great non vegetarian variations.
And if the food wasn’t reason enough to visit Aloft at the Cessna Business Park, Naveen from the WXYZ bar at Aloft has been chosen as a finalist for the Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail competition for his entry that we were served that evening called Fresh Harvest. Basil, orange zest, lime, Bacardi Carta Blanca – all of this whipped up to give us a delicious and refreshing cocktail.
The menu had a lovely selection of sea food – fresh and deliciously made. Tacos, Tortillas, Saltenas, Mariscadas, Tamal, Asados and some delicious Arepas with a vast collection of tangy salsas to accompany were nice to munch on, as we tried the various dishes with Chef’s classic twists. Don’t miss the Empanadas, Quesadilla and the Argentinian lamb/beef preparations which will keep you craving for more! The festival is on until the 25th Jan at Aloft CBP, and is priced at 1099++.
