The Leon Grill is a bustling new Turkish fast food place, a new addition in the HSR Layout food scene. We headed there for a casual dinner on a weekday, and found the place completely full, brightly lit and lively. It is self-order and service. A well sized area, quirky wall art around, benches and table seating – the décor was kept simple for a statement. The location in HSR Layout, near the BDA complex, is quite good – close enough making easy to spot, while far enough from the traffic noises.
We ordered a Chicken Doner Wrap, Peri Peri Chicken Wings and the combos. The wrap was alright, consistency wise good, wasn’t spilling out for a messy eater like me. But taste was alright, I missed the spices of Turkish rolls. The Peri Peri Wings were great, hot, spicy and delicious. The flavors were cooked in, rather than sprinkled on top, like in many fast food places. The service turnaround is quick, and we were in and out within the hour.
Not many fast food chains aside from the big giants survive the long run, or maintain standards. But Leon Grill, with its 2nd outlet in the city, is fast changing this notion. A good experience, will definitely order in from them.
