The first weekend in May saw the second edition of their BrewBQ event, comprising of various food stalls selling barbeque and grills, and Kingfisher setting up it’s beer booth. Like last year, we ended up going there on the Friday 5th May. The festival lasted that entire weekend, and saw a lot of creative stalls, and some really good music performances. There was free entry to the event, and was held in the open area in the Phoenix courtyard.

Khan Saheb!

We had quite a good selection this year, restaurants from Phoenix Market City participated, as well as some food trucks and bikes that set up stalls. Social, Harry’s, Cafe Noir, Khan Saheb, SWAT Truck, Frosty Ice Creams that were dishing out some delectable yummies. Beers were available at very economical prices as well. We tried wraps, rolls, skewers from various kiosks and quite liked them. The Food Bike set up was nice to look at, and their food was fresh and delicious!

Two main things that come to my mind about Brew B Q this year. Firstly, the food was priced quite well, and hence the value for money kept people coming to the stalls. And the music performances that evening were also very good, a couple of local bands sang some beautiful covers. Quite an enjoyable event in all.

SUMMARY

The Brew B Q event is quite a good platform to experience outdoor barbeque and beer from various restaurants and food trucks across the city. The kiosks serve dishes at a reduced price, and therefore allows for patrons to experience them and try more! It would be better if the artist line ups are available before, because some of the local talent who perform are beautiful musicians and performers.
