I am almost a regular to the Tipsy Bull in Bellandur, given the proximity to my work place. Recently, to catch up with friends, we were evaluating new places in Indiranagar – (when is there ever a dearth of that!) and decided to look up this outlet of Tipsy Bull. Almost at the beginning of 100 feet road from Old Airport Road side, the place is made up of a huge area. Multi levels, out doors, indoors, lounge seating, quirky seats around the bar – this place had a very nice vibe as we walked in. I liked that they had maintained a good consistency in ambience and decor, across the restaurants, but also creatively utilized a lot of the space they now have with the Tipsy Bull Indiranagar.
The drill stays the same, drinks on app or display – and for food they have a menu. We got a few beers, and their Thai Chicken. So food is overall pretty good here, while they cannot do a lot of customization, they certainly know how to serve what they have on the menu. The Thai Chicken, topped with basil, was quite nice and had a tangy zest. Quite well done. The Grilled Chicken Wings are a must order here, beer and wings – always a great combination. They have a selection of 3 sauces, we opted for the peri peri – hot and saucy, loved it! We also ordered these crumb fried and shallow fried mini rolls with fillings inside, they came in chai glasses with sauces at the base – nice to munch on amidst conversations. The non vegetarian platter allowed us to select starters from the menu, and that had some chicken, fish and lamb – each quite distinctly made – enjoyable. I must also mention, the Chicken nachos were quite good too! Cream, cheese and chicken – well made and presented.
A meal for 4 was about 4500 rupees, and that included drinks, and a host of starters. We liked the place, and on the Sunday afternoon it wasn’t too crowded either, allowing for us to walk around the place. The service is quite good, drinks and food both. And despite being a primarily drinking place, the food is quite nice too. I did not like some of the food coming in metal boxes, while I am all about fancy drinks and plated food – the containers should be well maintained. But this is a popular norm, and the food tasted nothing but good, so no major complaints from me. A good place to hang out, Tipsy Bull Indiranagar has a lot to offer.
