Delhi Belli is a new restaurant and snow gola place located near the Mc Donald’s in BTM. We were invited for a meet up to taste and review their food. Last weekend we landed up there, a pretty small place, with cute wall art, and mounted menus. The restaurant area is limited, but has been well used in the compact space to fit in things neatly.
The Chole Bhature looked very inviting, and that’s what we decided to start with. This was like straight from Delhi, fluffy and fresh bhature – 2 came in a plate. The chole initially had an imbalance of salt, and that was rectified. It tasted good and definitely is a must try dish here. They were launching their special kebabs that day, and we tried the variants available. The Paneer Gilafi was nice, soft with the right bit of spice. The Malai Tikka and Nehja Kebab were two of the top choices at our table – the chicken was soft, flavorful and well balanced.
The stuffed paranthas were what I liked the most on their menu, though this is more of Tapash’s kind of food. The Paneer Cheese was creamy and had a smooth texture – tasted fabulous. The Aloo Parantha was good as well, though the Gobi could have been a little less mashed to get more texture and flavor of cauliflower. All paranthas were served with curd, that’s refilled on request. Overall the parathas are as filling as a meal! We opted for Murgh Makhani in mains with parantha – which was nice, though the chicken itself could have been slightly more cooked, though that could be because I prefer meat and poultry to be more soft.
Delhi Belli is a good place to have Punjabi and Delhi food, my recommendations would be to try their Chole Bhature and Stuffed Paranthas with very generous fillings. Their Snow Gola counter also has a variety of selections – the Kala Khatta and Rainbow flavors were fun to try.
