California Pizza Kitchen celebrating the Mexican in you – say hola to ‘Mexifornia’ at CPK with flavorful Mexican food and beverages with a Californian twist. CPK has 3 well spread outlets in the city, at Indiranagar, Koramangala and Whitefield, all of which are running this promotion from the 13th June – 17th July 2016. I usually head to CPK for their pizza with bacon – Meat Cravers and also the Basil Pesto. The interesting way that CPK chefs put together the unique ingredients in a wonderful blend – some of those click very, very well.

This food festival features an assortment of appetizers and salads. Chipotle stuffed Chicken Wings, Chicken Taquitos, Street Corn Tarts, Mexican Bean Fritters, CPK Nachos and Baja Tacos are some of the starters on the menu. We tried the first two of these. The Chicken Taquitos were creamy and delicious. The Wings were really soft with fillings, but didn’t have the spicy tangy flavor quite at the right spot. The pizza selections were vegetarian with an option to add chicken to each of them, thereby giving quite a variety for all the patrons. We tried a pizza with half and half of two flavors – Mexicana and Tijuana – the pizzas were thin crust, not weighed down with cheese, and with a lot of toppings.

I wanted to try out one of the pastas – so selected the creamy avocado with prawns. This was delicious – worth the extra stretch. There are various options of desserts, and of course never miss this course. There’s a Sapota Mousse Cake – (Chikoo) – popular in tropical place like India and Mexico, which we ordered, and absolutely loved. Blended with cream, the fruity flavor made the perfect dessert for the meal.
