A lot of people are asking me where to go on their Valentines’ Special Date. And this isn’t the first year that I am doing this ‘consulting’ per say. So I decided to put it down on paper – err, my blog, for all to see and me to refer next year! Usually Italian would be my preferred choice of cuisine for a romantic and special date. But, Asian food is a very close second. So here are my top 4 choices, and some details on those:

Shiro

They have gone all out in luxury and style, and have a Valentines’ package that includes a chauffeur driven sedan to drive you, a four course set menu, a bottle of Chandon, and more!

Cafe Max

A beautiful place, serving some great European food, very nice and fresh bakes and a variety of wines at this cafe at Max Muller Bhavan. One of the things I love about the place is that they keep their pricing real even during events and festivals. Definitely my go to recommendation. Their coffees, sandwiches, cheese cakes are absolutely scrumptious, nothing on their menu disappoints. For Valentine’s Day, they will have the place all done up for romance with roses and candles – a perfect setting for that date you want to plan! Plus some great offers on wines 🙂

Chianti

I’ve been going to Chianti (pronounced Kee-anti) for many years now, and their Koramangala outlet is my favorite. Excellent experience every time, and they have only gotten better. They serve sangrias with white, red and rosa wine, and I loved them in my last few visits. The bruschettas and crostinis, pizzas – there was really nothing that disappointed. A very classic ambiance, comfortable seating and great food is what they offer best. For Valentine’s day they are serving a 4 course set menu including a glass of wine.

High Ultra Lounge

Want to have a heady and exclusive experience on Valentine’s Day – you could look at The High Ultra Lounge on the roof top of the World Trade Center. I love the cocktails here, and some of the dishes are spectacular.
