Recently, I did a collaboration with The Open Trunk, a Bangalore based boutique that curates unique fashion pieces and ensembles from established as well as upcoming designers – quintessentially Indian made. Each piece has it’s individuality, a thought and story that the designer had envisioned. And the character of each ensemble, through the weaves of it’s fabric, the hues and colors it embodies, the fall, cuts and work – define it. The Open Trunk has various kind of styles – ethnic wedding wear, modern work wear and contemporary fashion wear. The products range from everyday wear to special occasion buys and are complemented by shoes, bags and jewellery.
The curators at The Open Trunk had selected the ensemble in this feature, and I loved it. The mustard yellow Anarkali with it’s crisp dupion silk and the graceful dupatta had a brought a muted elegance to the lustre of the fabric. The overall persona of this piece was a regal look with modern sophistication. Crafted with utmost perfection, the intensity of design through each thread work with extremely unique combinations of Indian fabrics and intricate embroideries is what the brand represents.
