A super late post coming up – on this really fun and interesting pizza place called Ministry of Pizza. Located in the restaurant hub street of Koramangala, this is a very nicely set up area – with an open-air section overlooking the street, and a comfortable diner like seating inside. The menu is quite concise – they serve primarily pizzas, obviously! They also have a selection of burgers, pastas, appetizers and salads on the menu.
That afternoon we started off with trying a few pizzas. The pizzas are available in 8 inch and 10 inch sizes. I loved that both vegetarian and non-vegetarian had very creative options there, and not just the run of the mill options. In fact, Bacon and prawn, Pesto chicken, Ricotta with avocado and sun dried tomato were excellent selections. We loved the dough, the generous toppings, the adequate yet not over indulgence of the cheese imparted a beautiful balance to the pizzas. Each pizza was distinct, and kept simple and neat.
We went on to try some of the MoP’s recommendations – and while almost all of them were good, if I had to pick favorites, aside from the ones I mentioned above are Potato and Caramelized Onions, Mushroom Medley & Blue Cheese and Roasted Pumpkin from the vegetarian set. In non-vegetarian, bacon and tomato & roast pumpkin and chorizo were very well made and tasted absolutely delicious. Accompanying our pizzas were the beer cocktails, like the Beermosa and Hawaiin Shandy. Beer on tap is available as well.
Another thing you must try here are their monster freak shakes. They come in 3 variants – Black and White, which is a chocolate lover’s haven. Alice in Wonderland – a very aptly name fruity version of the monster shake loaded with cupcakes and ice creams. And finally, we had the Peanut Butter and Jelly – that is just a peanut butter overload. Black and White was definitely my favorite, it’s a dessert meal all by itself!
Summary
Ministry of Pizza offers a very unique selection of pizzas, well paired with beertails. From a price point, it is quite well placed – making this a great place to hang out in as well as to catch up with groups of friends. The location of course is pretty good as well. Just as long as the evening traffic doesn’t create too much of a mixed cacophony on the street. I loved their selection. Would like even better if they had some minced lamb as a topping! For people who love pizzas or folks that are bored of the mundane selections available in the city, check out Ministry of Pizza for a gourmet pizza experience that is both delicious and affordable.
