Beautiful architecture and stunning designs are synonymous to ITC Hotels. ITC Windsor retains the quiet and comforting regency grandeur and combines elegance, style with luxurious accommodations right in the heart of the city. A grand gateway culminating in a portico built around a 100-year old rain tree, the striking lobby chandelier, Queen Anne period furniture and the wood panelled Cabinet Lounge, all make for a fabulous first impression, while the antique artwork on the walls hint at what lies beyond. A typical misconception is that this is a colonial era property, it’s not. The Hotel is architecturally styled on the British Regency era, set within an ambience reminiscent of the days of the British Raj – but was built a few decades ago.
Tapash and I stayed in ITC Windsor right after Christmas – and we loved it. I have already been writing about the hotel’s award-winning restaurants. They offer some of the best fine dining experiences at the city, pairing exquisite western and Indian cuisines, with an exclusive selection of spirits and beverages. BUT I realized that somehow, I was missing out on actually talking about the stay itself, hence this post. We stayed in one of the 12 manor suites, and ours opened up into the Lancelot Gardens. The room features state-of-the-art, in suite facilities and access to a range of exclusive services. The Manor Suites also offer the privilege of the efficient services of a personal butler – should you need one.
The room enters into a study, living and dining area with French windows that open up into the gardens. Then there is the bedroom, that has an attached bath and dressing section. We had a personalized welcome, which I loved, so, so thoughtful! The suite is spacious and very comfortable. ITC hotels now provide Sunya Aqua in rooms instead of plastic water bottles. There is also a sleep menu, conceptualized from the ITC sleep lab. This is guaranteed to help you get the best sleep quality. There’s also the Kaya Kalp Spa which is great for relaxing treatments. There are several award winning restaurants available in various specialty cuisines, guaranteed to ensure your palate is always sated.
