The highest lounge in Southern India located in the World Trade Centre is a beautiful, breathtaking place. Offering one of the most panoramic view of the city, just being that high up in altitude is bound to give you a heady feeling. High Ultra Lounge has launched a concept menu called High on Power – powerful world leaders’ characteristics concocted into cocktails by master mixologist Guru Prashanth. Innovative and an intrinsic take on cocktails! I was honored to be invited for the preview of this cocktail menu, and Sundeep Rao – an acclaimed standup comedian hosted the event to walk us through each of the 10 drinks, while keeping the mood light and the drinkers entertained.

What followed that evening was a set of beautifully presented drinks, almost looked like series of art work. Bill Clinton, Nikolas Sarkozy, Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel and some Indian counterparts too! And for the teetotalers, there are mock-tails in this line up as well! Here’s a few of my favorites from that evening.

The BARlusconi, named after SilvioBerlusconi, a delicious drink made of campari and Jim beam with grapefruit.
