Grover Zampa Vineyards launched the new look of its signature wine Grover La Réserve at an event held at JW Marriott a couple of weeks back. The evening hosted at the beautiful Spice Terrace offered the attendees a unique pairing of award winning wine ‘La Reserve’ and delectable barbequed delicacies. The first vintage of La Réserve released in 1998, under the guidance of Michel Rolland.
Having won many accolades and awards, La Réserve is widely regarded wine, as well as greatly enjoyed by epicureans in the most exclusive and prestigious restaurants in over 20 countries. La Réserve is created by from hand-picked selection of some of Grover Zampa’s oldest Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz vines. Matured in French oak barrels, the wine gains intense structure and complexity and the finish is quite beautiful and long. The ripe fruit notes in the wine make for good and easy drinking, and can be paired easily with meat and poultry, and I thoroughly enjoyed them with the barbeques for the evening.
There’s also La Réserve Blanc variant made with handpicked and bunch pressed selection of Viognier grapes. Grover Zampa Vineyards (GZV) are the pioneers and most prestigious wine producers for India. The company owns wineries and vineyards in both the Nandi Hills in Karnataka and in the Nashik Valley in Maharashtra.
The event at Spice Terrace was the second of its kind in Bangalore. The first one was held before the Great Grover Wine Fest 2016. Grover Wines is spearheading a wine and barbeque evening concept across the country to celebrate good wine and food. The events take place on one side of the quiet pool, with a separate bar setup. That evening, there was some delicious meats were on barbeque from succulent chicken, lamb chops, delicious pork and beef. There were also a host of creative pass around appetizers paired well with the white wines in both vegetarian and non veg food, as well as fresh made sliders. The place itself was pretty that summer evening, and perfect setup for an event.
