I love how there is a lot of different things are being done in buffets and brunches. It is no longer just an all-you-can-eat concept, but slowly exclusive curated spreads of culinary delicacies is making the world of difference. A couple of weeks back, we were invited for a Sunday Brunch at Conrad Bengaluru. The line up of dishes, attention to ingredients and quality, and the sheer culinary finesse made this really one of a kind.
It took Chef Praveen Shetty a good 15 minutes to walk us around the entire spread. Alaskan Crab, artisan cheese, Norwegian salmon, Kadaknath Chicken, sushi from Mikusu was available in the buffet spread. I loved the live counter which served the cured salmon. Beetroot and fennel cured salmon and smoked, served as a pastrami. There was liver pate too, which I love by the way – but among all these choices, forgot to eat that! And there was also sea food like Lobster, Scampi, Oyster from the coasts. If this isn’t a luxurious indulgence, what is?! The dessert section had so many amazing creations – the entrements in various flavors and creams ensured there was something in store for everyone. Setup beautifully, organized neatly in colorful arrays of edible goodness – that course could be a meal in itself.
The brunch is at Caraway Kitchen, but does feature dishes from other restaurants in the property. The variety on the spread and the interactive kitchens – all of these are designed for the global traveler. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, sipping on some bubbly and martinis. Thanks Namita Gupta for the invite, and Upasna Madan for hosting us!
