Phoenix Market City is one of the premier and leading malls of the city, offering a wide range of shopping, utility and fashion brands, as well as an equally large variety of dining outlets. I am quite an avid endorser of Phoenix, and often take my family or friends here, sometimes for concerts, or to shop or just hang out. Last month, Phoenix was host for a 3 day long one of its kind event called Brew*B*Q, which was an epic take on the combination of beer and barbeque. Various restaurants like Whitefield Social, Cafe Noir, CPK and a few pubs like Harry’s from the mall participated in the event, which happened in the large and spacious courtyard. A few food trucks were also there, set up with live counters. There were games, music performances, lots of good food and an enthusiastic audience on Friday the 13th May! We reached Whitefield a little early to avoid the onslaught of traffic, and I, of course, had to go into Steve Madden to check out the new collection! As the music started up, we all headed to the courtyard.

Among the several stalls put up, I loved the Cafe Noir offerings. The grilled salmon was delicious, and the desserts were practically to die for. They had the food at the event prices, which were subsidized, but the quality and quantity were not. I tried the Trio Chocolate Mousse first – soft, deliciously supple mousse with rich and creamy chocolate flavors, unparalleled of anything I would eat that day! Their creations are graphic and artistically delicate. The Chocolate Tart was also an exquisite dessert – a tasty contrast to the usual chocolate desserts because of the creamy layering of various kinds of of chocolate. I spent a LOT of time trying their food, photographing them, and of course in random banter – all of which they were kind enough to indulge me in.
