We have been meaning to go to The Beer Café ever since their Koramangala outlet opened, quite with a bang I say! And finally, after months, thanks to Aneesha and Payal – we made it back for their newly launched breakfast menu. A beer breakfast sounded fun, so who can resist that, right! So last Saturday, we got up, bright and early – and set about to try their nice new weekend menu.
The menu features all-time favorites like pan cakes, baked beans and French toast, egg specials, continental breakfasts, Indian selections and sandwiches. I got the United Plates of America – with bacon, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled eggs and toast. The scrambled eggs were creamy and also had mushrooms – loved it. Bacon – was alright. I prefer mine crispy, the strips were just thick. The portion serving was quite wholesome, and this could suffice not just one, but two people easily. Tapash got the Classic English Breakfast – with fried eggs, chicken sausages, baked beans and grilled vegetables. This was quite well done, fresh, and got cleaned up in no time! The mushrooms served with this were not grilled, and that’s probably something that needs to be rectified.
The Vada Pav – we kinda made Aneesha order that J – was plated pretty, and had the right bit of crunch. While I am not the best person to speak of its authenticity, it tasted good enough. The sandwiches came last – the Club Sandwich and the Peri Peri. The latter was spicy, layered with egg, cream and vegetables, but the club sandwich turned out to be a little dry. But I haven’t written about the best parts yet! The breakfast starts from 9am, but from 11am they start serving beer. We got some of their beer bottles, and a beer cocktail, and it was a good feeling to listen to their nice playlist, sip chilled beer while munching down some grub!
It was my first time there, during the day, and the place looked pretty nice, lot of natural light flowing in. In the mornings it’s not super crowded, so a definitely a great place for beer breakfast! Check it out, and let me know what you think 🙂
